eHammurabi.org is a digital humanities project that provides a comprehensive electronic version of the Law Code of Hammurabi. For each of the 282 recognized provisions, the following data are provided: cuneiform signs, transliteration, normalization into Old Babylonian, and an English translation. All data are derived from well-respected contributors and authoritative sources. Anyone can use the Electronic Hammurabi website to learn more about the artifact, its contents, and scholarship. The eHammurabi.org website is owned and operated by the OMNIKA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the United States of America.

What is this? Certain portions of the Law Code of Hammurabi artifact are damaged or otherwise physically mutilated. This prevents translators from deciphering the cuneiform symbols inscribed. Only some laws and portions are impacted. Consequently, laws that have inscription damage may not be accurate.
